Meet Miranda Johnson

Hi there! I’m Miranda Johnson, a passionate writer with a lifelong love for stories, research, and the power of imagination.

I was born in California, but raised in Reno, Nevada, where I began my educational journey at the High Desert Montessori School. The Montessori approach emphasized curiosity, independence, and research-based learning—all of which shaped me into a naturally inquisitive and skilled writer. Whether the topic was assigned or self-chosen, I learned how to dive deep, find the heart of the subject, and communicate it clearly. That foundation taught me to enjoy the process of writing as much as the end result.

From a young age, storytelling captured my heart. If I wasn’t lost in a book, I was creating daydreams that unfolded like novels—rich with emotion, adventure, and meaning. It wasn’t long before I started writing those stories down, discovering that the worlds I imagined could also inspire others.

Throughout high school and college, my writing and research skills were consistently praised. But like many creatives, I faced discouragement along the way. A few critical voices led me to believe that writing should stay a hobby, not a career. So I followed a different path.

Inspired by my mother’s career in education, I pursued Early Childhood Education and spent years working as both a classroom teacher and a nanny. I loved supporting children’s growth and development—but deep down, something was missing: passion.

In the past year, I returned to creative writing. I started a Substack to write freely and rekindle the joy I once felt. I submitted stories to Reedsy contests—and slowly, that old spark turned into a flame. I realized I didn’t have to choose between practicality and creativity. I could build a career doing what I love.

Now, I’m stepping confidently into the world of freelance writing. I bring with me a sharp eye for research, a deep love for storytelling, and a commitment to crafting meaningful, tailored content for every client. Whether it’s blog articles, web copy, creative pieces, or research-based writing, I’m here to deliver thoughtful, polished work with care and professionalism.
